Limited access to technology for people can ensure they remain unable to access it, leading to fewer job opportunities.

Digital divide often affects the poor and rural. This puts them at a socio-economic disadvantage, as it is harder to find employment. One way to reduce digital divide is internet companies providing services in harder to reach areas. This will help people there be able to use the internet and have a more level playing field with the rest of the world.
